Trauma Center New Blood

Trauma Center New Blood

Keep your hands steady and your mind focused for Trauma Center: New Blood, sequel to Trauma Center: Second Opinion. This time around there’s a lot more on the line. Every cut of the scalpel, every pinch of the forceps, each and every second that ticks by is of the absolute greatest importance. If you think it’s too much to handle alone, invite a friend to assist with the operation and work together to save patients from flat lining. The adrenaline is pumping, lives are at stake, and only you can save the day. Have you got what it takes?
At a remote hospital in Alaska, Dr. Markus Vaughn, a surgeon who has forsaken the politics and power struggles of his former ward, quietly toils. He is content to use the power he has discovered within himself, the Healing Touch, to positively affect the lives of those in need. His partner is Valerie Blaylock, a promising young doctor eager to unlock her own dormant abilities.
When the facility unexpectedly closes, they are forced to return to Concordia Medical Institute, where politics are more important than patient’s lives, and doctors more concerned with image than their ministration. There they are recruited into the government organization Caduceus, where they will learn of a conspiracy with dire ramifications, and their lives will be changed forever.

User Ratings and Reviews

5 Stars The best Medical Simulation game out there.
I am a huge Trauma Center fan. I have played Trauma center: Second opinion and loved it! When I heard that Atlus was developing a sequel, I had to buy it as soon as they released it! This game was not a disappointmentat all. The first time I played it, I couldn’t believe how much better it was than Second Opinion! It was astounding! Here’s a brief overview of the game.

OVERVIEW:

This game takes place 10 years after the events that occured in Trauma Center: Second Opinion, which took place in the year 2018, when medical terrorists were using a virus called GUILT (Gangliated Utrophin Immuno Latency Toxin)to terrorize people all over the world. And a doctor named Derek Stiles, who was gifted with the Healing Touch, had to stop the Virus and cure its victims. Now, in New Blood,10 years later in 2028, there is an even greater threat at hand. Its name is Stigma. It is a very deadly pathogen that was discovered and released into the public by accident. Now, two very talented Alaskan surgeons (named Markus Vaugn and Valerie Blaylock) with the Healing Touch must stop Stigma and save people’s lives before they become victims of Stigma Themselves. The tension is on as they preform life- saving operations, in hopes that they can accomplish their mission.

PROS AND CONS

PROS:

This game has really good graphics. A lot better that Trauma Center: Second Opinion. You actually feel like you are operating on someone. The graphics are so lifelike, and there is also the classic Japanese anime- style art involved too.

Awesome gameplay and storyline: This game has a truly gripping storyline that will keep you coming back for more! I could not stop playing it because there was drama and danger around every twist and turn.

Full voice-over Dialogue: In the first installment of Trauma Center for the Wii, Only a few parts of what the doctors and nurses were saying were actually said aloud, the rest you had to read, But now they have actors saying everything that is written on the screen.

Controlls and rumble feature of the Wii remote and nunchuck: The Wii remote has a built in rumble feature, that allows you to really feel the action as you are preforming operations. The nunchuck allows you to select the surgical tools that are necessary for you to successfully complete every operation. The Wii remote serves as your scalpel, Syringe, suturing tool, and ultrasound among other things. You also use thi remote and nunchuck as the defibrillators.

Co-op mode: Now you can play with a family member or friend to help you to accomplish those tricky and difficult operations that you just can’t do on your own. You can do operations twice as fast with one other person to help you to finish the operation successfully.

CONS:

A lot of the operations are very hard to complete, even when playing on the Easy setting! But this game is very fun nonetheless.

I would defnitely reccomend this game to anyone who dreams, or has drempt, of becoming a doctor. Before I played this game, I didn’t handle the virtual pressure well, and I was really shaky when I held the Wii remote, Now i am not shaky at all! It really makes you hold your hand steady like a real surgeon would have to. This is a really grat game that will shock and suprise you constantly to the point to where you are screaming at the television and virtual characters and in denial at what is happening in the storyline.

I hope that my review has helped you!

4 Stars Love it.
this game is worth every penny i spent. it’s very addictive. having a second surgeon makes it a lot more fun. thanks. great price and delivery.

3 Stars IT’S HARD!!!!
The tutorials that you go through before performing surgeries often have gaps where not everything needed is explained. Also, no way to adjust the difficulty level to easy enough for some (like myself) to get through some parts without having to do them many times. This lowers the fun factor alot. I never played the first one, but my understanding is that it is easier.

4 Stars Short, but enjoyable
This game just seems naturally suited for the Wii. Although it is very similar to the first game in the series, the addition of a two person surgery really spices things up.

Gameplay can be frustrating for those lacking in hand-eye coordination, but the varying levels of difficulty are accomodating.

Overall a very enjoyable game that highlights the ingenuity of the wii remote.

4 Stars A fun game
This is a fun game. It is difficult. Better play in co-op mode with a partner.

Star Wars The Force Unleashed

Star Wars The Force Unleashed

The Star Wars saga will continue in Star Wars: The Force Unleashed, a videogame developed by LucasArts, which casts players as Darth Vader’s “Secret Apprentice” and promises to unveil new revelations about the Star Wars galaxy. The expansive story, created under direction from George Lucas, is set during the largely unexplored era between Star Wars: Episode III Revenge of the Sith and Star Wars: Episode IV A New Hope. In it, players will assist the iconic villain in his quest to rid the universe of Jedi - and face decisions that could change the course of their destiny.

As its name implies, The Force Unleashed completely re-imagines the scope and scale of the Force. The Wii version will not only give you a solid story-line developed by LucasArts involving the Darth Vader’s secret apprentice, but you’ll experience a new style of gameplay only the Wii can offer. With the Wiimote and Nunchuck you’ll be able to battle your way through your enemies utilizing your Lightsaber attacks and Force powers. Not only can you experience this new control system in story mode, but you can also try your Jedi skills against a friend in the Wii, “Battle Mode.” Joining the Dark Side doesn’t seem like such a bad idea after all.

Game Features:

  • During the period between Episodes III and IV, players hunt Jedi in the role of Darth Vader’s Secret Apprentice.
  • Unleash and upgrade the Secret Apprentice’s four core Force powers - Force push, grip, repulse and lightning - throughout the course of the game, and combine them for ultra-destructive, never-before-seen combos.
  • Examples of unleashing the Force in ways never thought possible:
    • The Secret Apprentice won’t just Force push enemies into walls - he’ll Force push enemies through walls.
    • The Secret Apprentice won’t just Force grip foes to throw them aside - he’ll Force grip them in midair, zap them with lightning, then drop them to the ground to explode like a bomb.
  • In addition to new adversaries created just for the game, such as fugitive Jedi and Force-sensitive Felucians, players will also confront and associate with familiar faces from the Star Wars films, including Darth Vader.
  • Visit locations such as Episode III’s Wookiee homeworld Kashyyyk and the floral Felucia, the junk planet Raxus Prime, plus an Imperial TIE fighter construction facility.
  • The Wii system’s “Battle Mode,” a one on one fighting arena simliar to the classic game, Star Wars: Masters of Teräs Käsi.
  • Use the Wiimote to slash and pierce your enemies with your Jedi Lightsaber while you use the Wii Nunchuk to disable other opponents with your Force Powers.
  • LucasArts is preparing an unprecedented promotional effort around the launch of The Force Unleashed, encompassing a full line of toys and game-based action figures from Hasbro, as well as a full publishing program from Dark Horse, Del Rey and Palace Press.

Meet the Cast
The Star Wars Saga will continue in 2008 with LucasArts’ biggest-ever video game event. Set during the “dark times” between Episodes III and IV, Star Wars: The Force Unleashed portrays the previously untold story of Darth Vader’s Secret Apprentice — and now you can put a face to that mysterious character as well as the major supporting cast members as LucasArts unveils the actors set to star in The Force Unleashed.

The Cast of The Force Unleashed

The Technology of The Force Unleashed
With The Force Unleashed, LucasArts not only introduces a new chapter in the Star Wars saga, but also pushes the Wii’s game engine to deliver amazing detail and realism only found in a Star Wars title. You will experience gameplay and the Force like you never had before.

Wii Remote Controller

Wii Remote Controller

The Wii Remote Controller makes gaming accessible to people of all ages and all abilities. Nintendo fused the familiarity of a remote control with the sophistication of motion-sensing technology — creating a multifunctional device limited only by the imagination. In a tennis game, it serves as a racket you swing with your arm. In a driving game, it serves as your steering wheel. For first-person shooters, the remote acts as your weapon that you point at an enemy. The list of potential uses goes on and on. Features expansion port for additional input devices, such as the Nunchuk controller

User Ratings and Reviews

5 Stars Ultimate Family Fun!
Definitely a must have to add additional players to your Wii Console. The Wii has the best family games, especially for the younger kids (under 13) and the Wii Remote makes it all possible, enabling you to use it as a bat, golf club, tennis racket, etc. I absolutely love mine!

5 Stars Extra Controller for WII Games
Needed to add additional controllers for my Wii games. Have 4 grandsons and like all boys they want their own even at Grandpops house. Purchase price and shipping from Amazon.com were perfect. Great selection of all Wii software. Controllers work fine, boys are happy now.

5 Stars Nintendo makes quality products.
I have 4 remote controllers and have never had a problem. That’s amazing considering all the shaking they get. 100% satisfied.

4 Stars Wii Remote Controller
This product works perfectly. My sister was very excited to receive this as a gift.

5 Stars A Must Have
I hadn’t played a video console since the original Nintendo but our friends got a Wii a while back. We played the game and I was hooked, mainly due to the innovative remote. You must have at least 2 for multi-player games and you’ll want 4 so you don’t have to share. Overall, a great remote for a great console. 5 stars for sure.

User Ratings and Reviews

4 Stars fun game
My husband and son really enjoy this game, the only reason I give it 4 stars instead of 5 is because the remote does not vibrate when you hook a fish. I would recommend this game.

5 Stars My first, but certainly not my last fishing game!!!!!!!!
This was a spur of the moment purchase. My finance and I had stopped into our local game store, and the employees were playing!! I couldn’t seem to take my eyes off the game, and when they hooked a 12 lber ….. I was HOOKED!!! Unfortunatly for the employees, this was the only copy in the store, and I scarfed it up right away. I’m a casual fisher(women), and love the thrill of hooking a big one. This game doesn’t disappoint. It did take me a couple days to figure out which lures to use, and when, but since then…..I’ve been winning the tours!!! GREAT buy for anyone who likes or loves fishing. GREAT graphics!!!!

4 Stars Great Fishing Game
I’ve been looking forward to this game since its announcement. I still play the orginal bass fishing and sega marine fishing on the Dreamcast because they are so much fun.

This version has better graphics (not drastically better, but they do look cleaner and brighter) more ambient sounds effects, tons of new locations and nature trip mode. Nature mode is a more realistic and relaxing way to play and there is no music and it takes longer to get a fish to bite.

The Wii controls are great…you cast with the Wiimote and reel using the nunchuck. The wiimote even makes a winding sound as you reel a fish in. You can also use the wiimote to control the height of the rod onscreen.

The game does have a few faults that have carried over from the original dreamcast version. Namely the fact that your fishing line goes through objects underwater and the fish can have some jittery animations if they stuck near a rock or something.

Overall its a fun game that anyone can play for only $30.00.

Wii Action Pack

INTEC G5680 NINTENDO WII ACTION PAK WII ACTION PACK FOR SPORTS GAMES; INCLUDES A TENNIS RACKET, GOLF CLUB, BASEBALL BAT, and SWORD ATTACHMENT EXTENSIONS FOR WII REMOTES; CUSTOM DESIGNED TO MATCH THE WII CONSOLE

User Ratings and Reviews

4 Stars WII EXTRA TOYS FOR GAMES
TO ALL WHO HAVE HAD YOUR BATS FLY APART AND BREAK, AND I GUESS SOME OF THE OTHER SPORTS EQUIPMENT,TOO ……MINE ALL HAVE LITTLE SCREWS HOLDING THE PLASTIC PIECES TOGETHER, THE BAT THEN IS SCREWED ON AND LOCKS ON THE SIDE, THIS IS NOT AN OFFICIAL WII PRODUCT….THEREFORE THEY ARE EXTREMELY FUN AND SAFE TO PLAY WITH…KEEPING THEM FROM A 5 STAR WAS THEY SURE COULD HAVE BEEN BIGGER…DO THEY THINK ONLY CHILDREN LIKE TOYS…I HAVE MORE THAN MOST KIDS…SO CHECK OUT OTHER SPORTS EQUIPMENT BESIDES WII…SORRY WII….

4 Stars Action pack cool, but not ness.
this is a great idea, but is totally a luxury. not nessecary to play, but they do add that extra resistance that you want. I is made of plastic so don’t take’em out side for a sandlot baseball….

2 Stars Great idea, poor follow through
Even though there is a lock on the bat, racket and club, they release when used… causing a bat, racket or club to go flying through the air. Not very good times when you have windows or a tv to the front or side of you. It’s a great idea and lots of fun before they come unlocked. Would recommend purchasing a different version.

1 Star DO NOT BUY THIS ITEM!
I received this product as a gift and thought it would be a lot of fun. However, the piece that attaches the bat, golf club, etc broke on first use. Despite swinging lightly (because I was nervous the attachment would fly off), the bat flung out and hit my wall. There is a dent in my wall now…. not happy about that. DO NOT BUY THIS ITEM. I don’t understand how some people gave this product a 5 star rating. Imagine the golf club attachment launching off into your nice plasma tv… I was lucky it was just a wall.

5 Stars wii action pack
This product is a lot of fun. It makes you feel like you are actually playing the sport.
