Resident Evil: Darkside Chronicles Story Unveiled
Featuring gameplay footage of Leon and Krauser working together
Back when Capcom released Resident Evil: Umbrella Chronicles, many were skeptical, believing that it was just a quick way for Capcom to cash in on a well known franchise. However, the game scored well critically, and skeptical ones realized it was actually a solid entry into the Resident Evil series.

Â
Resident Evil: Darkside Chronicles is its sequel, and will continue where Umbrella Chronicles left off. Using the same mechanic of exploring a particular character's back-stories, Darkside Chronicles centers around Resident Evil 2 and Resident Evil: Code Veronica.  It also adds a brand new chapter just unveiled recently at Tokyo Game Show.
Â
This new chapter centers around Leon Kennedy and Jack Krauser, and it explores a period of time before Resident Evil 4. Â Instead of trying to kill each other, the two were actually partners in this scenario. Detailed in the video is a mission to South America, where they are in search of a girl named Manuela. She is the sole survivor of an outbreak that has erupted in her village.
Â
Capcom shows off some graphical power in the trailer, showing richly rendered environments, and impressive in-game graphics. The South American level interestingly resembles the environments found in Resident Evil 5, and could possibly stir up the whole "Could Wii handle Resident Evil 5" debate again.
